Lean Six Sigma - Black Belt

Training, coaching and certification program

To support performance improvement within an organization, people need to be trained in a systematic problem solving methodology and tools. Lean Six Sigma (LSS), a World class problem solving approach, is a valuable toolbox for improving processes. We can help implementing this approach in your organization, deliver training and certification to all levels and also certify and coach the teams that perform projects. This is our general training and certification program for Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

Learning objectives

  • Understand and apply the Lean Six Sigma problem solving methodology and tools
  • Develop new skills to identify and eliminate waste and process variability
  • Apply the LSS methodology and tools to execute an improvement project that results in significant benefits for the organization

Target competencies

  • Problem solving
  • Lean Thinking
  • Project management
  • Statistical thinking

Program features

  • In person or virtual sessions
  • Duration: 140 to 170 hours (depending on the topics to be covered), typically 4 weeks
  • During the training, each participant must apply the tools on a real problem he/she faces at work
  • Each participant must realize a process improvement project and attend the training sessions. The participant receives 1-on-1 coaching sessions throughout the project duration
  • To be certified, participants must successfully finish 1 supervised project and obtain at least 70% in a 3-hours exam (open books!) by Différence.
